*on street parking or park in the courtyard. From Davis Ave there is a set of double stars leading to a door which is Teri Schoch's Studio. We will meet here if a small group , if a large group we will meet at the same location but will move to the hallway gallery. We might be short on chairs so if you can bring one that would be great. - This location is not ADA compliant so let us know if you need assistance into the building.
MATERIALS: Bring your own materials if you'd like. Fabric & Embroidery Thread, Scissors, Sewing Needles, Hoops will be provided. Please bring a folding chair if you have one.
ABOUT: Dayton is havng it's own "Draw the Line" Stitch-In get together hosted by artists at Davis Linden Buildings. We wlll be hand embroidering on 10 x 10 inch fabric with embroidery thread, making marks (卌) on the fabric, then sending it to artist Chi Nguyen Studios to be included in her quilt. This is a community event in support of Women's Reproductive Rights in light of the Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt ruling coming this June 2016 from the Supreme Court. This ruling will decide whether Texas can shut down nearly all abortion clinics in the state and prevent 5.4 million women of reproductive age from accessing the healthcare they need.
